Cardiac Stepdown for a travel nursing job in Hilo, Hawaii. Job
Description & Requirements - Specialty: Cardiac Stepdown -
Discipline: RN - Start Date: 04/06/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36
hours per week - Shift: 12 hours - Employment Type: Travel RN
Position Job Notes: Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for
ASAP start. A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside
experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5
weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the
initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available. Opportunity: RN
- PCU Job Details: • Work 36 hours per week following first week of
orientation (40 hours) • No guaranteed hours • No on-call
responsibilities • Work in 33-bed Progressive Care Unit with 6
step-down level of care • Patient ratios: 1:4 for Progressive Care,
1:3 for step-down level • Provide primary nursing care, telemetry
monitoring, and fingerstick blood sugar testing • Take vital signs
and utilize EPIC charting system • Use Pyxis medication system,
BIPAP, and continuous cardiac monitoring equipment • Must have at
least 1 year hospital acute care experience within the last year •
Progressive Care and telemetry experience preferred • Required
certifications: Current ACLS/ALS certification • Preferred
certifications: PALS and NIHSS certification • Possibility to float
to all acute units including Medical, Surgical/Pediatrics, ICU, and
ER • Dress code: Scrubs required • Must have Hawaii nursing license
by start of assignment • Must arrive Thursday before start date for
