Travel Contract Shift Type: Day shifts (specific days vary by
unit), 06:45 AM - 07:15 PM, 12-hour day shifts, scheduled 36
hours/week following orientation Hours per Week: 36 Candidate Pay

Roles & Responsibilities Provide compassionate, high-quality
nursing care while floating between medical and surgical units
Assess patients, create individualized care plans, implement
interventions and evaluate outcomes Manage complex bedside
equipment and therapies such as wound VACs and chest tubes Safely
administer medications and use the Pyxis medication system Document
care accurately in Meditech EMR to support continuity and safety
Collaborate with physicians, therapists and interdisciplinary team
members to achieve the best patient outcomes Adapt quickly to
different unit workflows and mentor teammates when appropriate
Qualifications Active State of Hawaii RN license required by the
assignment start date Minimum 2 years of clinical RN experience
(job notes indicate 2–10 years preferred) BLS and ACLS required
Preferred certifications: PALS, Procedural Sedation, TNCC, ENPC
Comfortable floating between Medical, Laulima (surgical acute) and
occasional Cardiovascular units Professional nursing attire and
ability to work 12-hour day shifts Education Graduate of an
accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN preferred) Knowledge &
Skills Medical-surgical nursing and float pool experience
Proficiency with Meditech EMR and Pyxis medication systems Wound
VAC management and chest tube care Strong clinical assessment and
critical thinking skills Ability to manage multiple patients safely
with changing nurse-to-patient ratios Excellent communication and
teamwork in a fast-paced environment Benefits Licensure assistance
