Job Description:
Job Description Job Description Summary PACH is seeking an
individual to be responsible for assisting practitioners with the
Childcare Registry and identifying and supporting both
practitioners’ professional development goals as well as Health and
Safety annual training requirements. Duties Essential Duties:
Fields calls from practitioners in their respective island district
regarding the Childcare Registry program. Reviews Registry
applications and necessary supporting documentation. Under the
direction of the Registry Specialists, assesses applications for
completeness and functions as a liaison between Registry
Specialists and practitioners to assist and counsel practitioners
in obtaining or updating their Childcare Registry. Provides
technical assistance to practitioners on how to complete the
Registry forms. Counsels practitioners on available training
opportunities and professional development programs as a way to
enhance work performance and support career development goals.
Performs outreach duties promoting and informing the general public
and practitioners of the Childcare Registry Provide guidance to all
in the field regarding the DHS annual Health Safety requirements.
Other Duties: Assists in program marketing. Assists in gathering
data for statistical reports and developing materials used to
promote and inform about the Childcare Registry. Performs other
duties as necessary. Working Conditions: Usually indoors under
regular office conditions. Requires long periods of sitting. Work
Hours: Part Time Neighbor Islands: varying hours; each island
office determines start and end times; duties may require evening
and weekend hours. Equipment Use: Computer and standard office
equipment. Requirements Mental, Physical and Communication Demands:
Requires relating to people in a friendly and professional manner
with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be
organized and able to pay close attention to detail. Must be able
to interact and communicate effectively with a wide variety of
people. Demonstrate the ability to work independently and closely
in a team. While performing duties of this job, the employee is
regularly required to sit, stand and kneel. Must occasionally
lift/or move more than 50 pound Minimum Qualification Requirements:
Skills and Knowledge: Previous experience interacting in a
multi-cultural community· Requires knowledge of customer service
and oral and written communication skills. Requires proficiency in
computer typing skills. Knowledge of CDA process Knowledge of
State’s child care licensing requirements is preferred. Knowledge
of community child care issues and resources is preferred.
Education/Experience: Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education
or related field. Experience working in the early childhoodfield is
