About Us
To fulfill the intent of Queen Emma and King Kamehameha IV to
provide in perpetuity quality health care services to improve the
well-being of Native Hawaiians and all the people of Hawaii.
Responsibilities
I. JOB SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES:
--- Performs a variety of radiologic procedures.
--- Provides patient care during procedures.
II. TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
--- Essential: standing, walking, finger dexterity, seeing,
hearing, speaking; lifting usual weight of 50 pounds;
pushing/pulling usual weight of 50 pounds; carrying usual weight of
20 pounds.
--- Continuous: stooping/bending; reaching above and below shoulder
level, frequent gripping of an object, pushing/pulling usual weight
up to 50 pounds.
--- Frequent: twisting body, lifting usual weight with assistance
up to 50 pounds; carrying up to 40 pounds; reaching at shoulders,
repetitive arm/hand motions, static gripping of an object for
prolonged periods of time.
--- Occasional: sitting, kneeling, crawling, climbing stairs,
walking on uneven ground, squatting.
--- Operates x-ray equipment, computer and printer, fax machine,
surgical supplies and equipment, film cassettes, film
processors.
III. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
--- Exposed to both inside and outside environmental conditions;
cold temperatures due to the air conditioning.
--- Subjected to noise/vibration from film processors.
--- Exposure to communicable diseases, hazardous anesthetic agents,
body fluids, wastes, electrical and radiation energy,
mechanical/electrical units, chemicals and radiation.
IV. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
A. EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:
--- Graduate from an accredited school of Radiologic
Technology.
--- Registered Technologist with American Registry of Radiologic
Technologist (ARRT).
--- Hawaii State license as a Radiologic Technologist.
--- CurrentBLS/HCP certification.
B. EXPERIENCE:
--- One (1) year experience in an acute care facility
preferred.
