Also, home to Hilo Medical Center and a variety of other nationally ranked healthcare clinics, the City of Hilo has different roles that can fit what you're looking for in your next role.On Time Talent Solutions is looking for a passionate Genetic counselor in several specialty clinics including general genetics clinic, metabolic clinic, bone marrow transplant clinic, cystic fibrosis clinic, hearing loss clinic, maternal fetal medicine, neurofibromatosis clinic, disorders of sexual development clinic, and more.Genetic Counselor Responsibilities:

• Develop educational materials focusing on genetic disease for health professionals and the public
• Counsel patients and families seen at specialty clinics regarding genetic diseases
• Coordinate patient activities for genetics department/clinics
• Provide genetic counseling service for families for whom molecular methods of diagnosis can offer carrier detection and prenatal diagnosis
• Develop and provide educational services to health professionals and community groupsGenetic Counselor Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree in Genetic Counseling, Medical Genetics, or Human Genetics
  • American Board of Genetic Counseling or American Board of Medical Genetics Certified
