Job Description:

Position Function:

Direct supervision of all staff, at the account/unit level to ensure client satisfaction for the company. Implements business practices in order to uphold Company mission and values. Also assists the Operations Manager with tasks as assigned.

Interfaces with:

  • Airline
  • Airport
  • Subcontractors

Primary Duties and Responsibilities May Include the Following:

Ensures service delivery to customer airlines/airport in accordance with contracts and within the agreed budget level.

Ensures safety and security procedures are in accordance to standards set forth within the PrimeFlight Standard Operations Manual, Safety & Training Manual, Aviation Security Manual, Cargo Manual (if applicable) and Safety Management Systems Manual and in accordance with international aviation standards.

Liaises with airline station managers, airport operations managers, handling agents, Customs, Immigration and Security officials and other airport stake holders.

Recruiting and staffing, following recruiting and hiring policies and procedures and ensures staffing levels are maintained to meet internal/external service level/quality assurance standards.

Monitors performance and takes action to correct any shortfalls.

Ensures Senior Management and Director, Corporate Safety and Compliance are immediately notified of any current or pending audits and results.

Provides guidance and leadership to the team.

Investigates and reports all accidents, incidents and irregularities, including work related accidents/incidents, passenger incidents involving PrimeFlight employees and property and/or aircraft damage.

Ensures compliance with all local, state and federal rules and security measures.

Provides reports as required and service delivery measurements.

In conjunction with the VP, Corporate Safety and Compliance develops and implements the station Emergency Response Plan.

Works shifts as required by the business operations.

Promotes and supports workplace diversity initiatives.

Assist and/or Lead startup operations across all lines of business.

The ability to backfill open station leadership positions during times of vacancy.

Project Management

Travel will be required, up to 75%.

Knowledge/Skills/Requirements:

  • Minimum 5+ years' experience as a Station Manager, Account Manager or Operations Manager.
  • Fully conversant with passenger service handling procedures, aviation safety and security procedures and PrimeFlight safety and security procedures.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to effectively interact with senior airline, airport and other stakeholder personnel at the airport.
  • Financially and commercially astute with experience and strong grasp of financial practices including P&L responsibility.
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills
  • Good working knowledge of ramp GSE and the IATA Standard Ground Handling Agreement (if applicable to the station).
  • Aptitude to develop the management team, provides succession planning and re-engineers business processes as demanded by changes in the business.

Education Requirements

  • College Degree or equivalent work experience required
  • College degree in business or a closely related field may substitute for the required experience
