SALARY: $48,144-$56,304 per year ($4,012-$4,692 per month), SR-18,
SR-20 or SR-22, BU:73

The Human Resources team is seeking an HR Specialist to join the
Employee Engagement (Labor Relations) team. The ideal candidate is
driven by the desire to help shape our organization by implementing
employee engagement and performance management strategies. The HR
Specialist will support the organization's employee and labor
relations program, including analyzing and interpreting the intent,
spirit and terms of the labor union collective bargaining agreement
contract provisions, grievance settlements, policies, rules, laws,
statutes and procedures.

BENEFITS:
EDUCATION REQUIREMENT: Graduation from an accredited four (4) year
college or university with a bachelor's degree. Excess work
experience as described under the Specialized Experience below or
any other progressively responsible administrative, professional or
other analytical work experience which provided knowledge, skills
and abilities comparable to those acquired in four (4) years of
successful study while completing a college or university
curriculum leading to a baccalaureate degree may be substituted on
a year-for-year basis.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT: One-half (1/2) year to two and one-half (2
1/2) years of professional work experience in one or any
combination of human resources functions; i.e., recruitment,
placement, examination, position classification, pay or wage
administration, employee management relations and services,
employee development, personnel program development and services,
labor relations, and personnel research.
Must be available to work shifts, weekends and holidays, based on
hospital operations (services are provided 24/7).
MEDICAL/PHYSICAL EXAMINATION REQUIREMENT: Offers of employment will
be contingent on successfully passing a pre-employment physical
examination, which includes drug screen and other regulatory
medical requirements such as, but not limited to tuberculosis (TB)
screen.
COVID-19 VACCINATION REQUIREMENT: COVID-19 vaccination is a
condition of employment for Hawaii Health Systems Corporation.
After receiving a conditional offer of employment, all prospective
new HHSC employees are required to be fully vaccinated against
COVID-19. New employees are required to provide confirmation of
their full vaccination status by presenting their CDC vaccination
card or VAMS Certificate prior to their start date.
