Roles & Responsibilities Deliver high-quality radiation therapy treatments independently and compassionately in accordance with physician prescriptions Perform simulations and treatment planning to ensure precise, patient-centered care Operate and maintain the Varian TrueBeam linear accelerator safely and effectively Use ARIA (and Epic where applicable) to document care, manage treatment schedules, and coordinate with the care team Fabricate specialized treatment aids and perform comprehensive all-treatment-site set-ups Assess patient status across the lifespan and adapt care based on age-specific needs Manage a high patient throughput (approximately 25–30 patients/day) while maintaining safety and accuracy Participate in rotating shifts and provide weekend/holiday coverage as needed Qualifications Current ARRT certification in Radiation Therapy (T) State of Hawaii Radiologic Technologist license required by start of assignment (candidates must apply if not currently licensed) BLS certification current Minimum 2 years of progressively responsible imaging technologist/specialist experience Proficiency with Varian TrueBeam operation and ARIA EMR (Epic experience is a plus) Experience delivering modalities including 3D, IMRT, SBRT and electrons and performing comprehensive treatment set-ups Knowledge & Skills Radiation therapy treatments, simulations, and treatment planning Varian TrueBeam linear accelerator operation and safety ARIA EMR (and exposure to Epic EMR) 3D, IMRT, SBRT and electron therapy modalities Fabrication of specialized treatment aids and immobilization devices Patient assessment and age-appropriate care High-throughput workflow management and strong attention to detail Benefits Generous housing stipend and travel reimbursement to help you settle in Medical, Dental & Vision coverage to keep you healthy Licensure assistance & reimbursement so paperwork isn’t a headache BLS and certification support, including CEU opportunities Paid Time Off to recharge after intense weeks A supportive team that values YOU and your professional growth Professional development and training on Varian TrueBeam & EMR systems Relief and holiday staffing support so coverage is fair Travel Perks: Explore Hilo, HI Welcome to Hilo — your home base for volcanoes, waterfalls and aloha spirit.
