Job Title Radiation Therapist - Oncology City/State: Hilo, Hawaii
Shift: 4x10 Flex, 07:00:00-17:00:00, Varied - This position may
work on rotating shifts, with work on weekends and holidays.
Contract Length: 10 weeks Start Date: 05/04/2026 Job Description:
The Radiation Therapist is responsible for independently performing
a variety of radiation therapy treatments, simulations, treatment
planning, and fabrication of specialized treatment aides in
accordance with the prescription and instructions of the physician.
The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of
growth and development over the life span and possess the ability
to assess data reflective of the patient’s status and interpret the
appropriate information needed to identify each patient’s
requirements relative to his or her age-specific needs and to
provide the care needed by the patient groups. Responsibilities:
Perform radiation therapy treatments, simulations, and treatment
planning. Fabricate specialized treatment aides as per physician
instructions. Treat 25-30 patients/day using treatment modalities:
3D, IMRT, SBRT, electrons. Manage set-ups for all treatment sites
in a comprehensive cancer center. Requirements: 2 years of
progressively responsible imaging technologist/specialist
experience. American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) in
Radiation Therapy (T). Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
State of Hawaii Radiologic Technologist license as a Radiation
Therapist. Proficiency on a Varian TrueBeam linear accelerator and
ARIA EMR. Must arrive the Thursday before the start date for a
health appointment.
