Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 03/30/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel /n Job Description/n American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Flex Pool night position in Hawaii, requiring an active HI RN license and flexibility to float between units. /n /n Responsibilities/n - Work in a hospital flex pool, floating between medical, surgical, and occasionally cardiovascular units - Night shifts, 12 hours each (1845-0715), scheduled for 36 hours per week after orientation - Care for adult Med/Surg and Step Down patients - Use Meditech EMR, Pyxis, wound vacs, and manage chest tubes - Typical nurse-to-patient ratios: Medical Unit 1:8 for nights, Laulima 1:6, Cardiovascular 1:4 (ratios may vary) - Mandatory floating to Medical, Laulima, and Cardiovascular units as needed - All travelers must attend Employee Health 48-72 hours prior to starting the assignment - Plan to arrive in Hawaii the Thursday before a Monday start to complete pre-employment requirements - Orientation is provided for each unit assignment - Professional nursing attire with clean scrubs is required - Medical and religious exemption requests will not be accepted in place of documented immunity /n /n Requirements/n - Active HI RN license required by start date - Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg experience - Current BLS and ACLS certifications required - Preferred certifications include PALS, Procedural Sedation, TNCC, ENPC - Familiarity with Meditech EMR strongly preferred /n Benefits/n - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts /n American Traveler Job ID P-667200.
