qualified PACU/Pre-Post Op RN in Hilo, Hawaii, 96720! Job Title
HI-PACU - Variable (2/9), RN City/State: Hilo, Hawaii Shift:
Variable - Hours worked per two-week period. No guarantee of hours
or shift preference. Contract Length: 182 weeks Start Date:
02/09/2026 Job Description: Caring of patients pre op, phase I and
phase II recovery. PACU nurses care for patients after surgery and
must demonstrate advanced knowledge of anesthesiology and carrying
for patients in Phase I. Candidates for PACU jobs require critical
care skills to assess incision sites, monitor body temperature, and
track other indicators of stability or complications. Ideal
candidates for post-anesthesia care units have natural abilities to
think critically. Past experience in critical care and surgical
nursing is a plus. Responsibilities: Caring for patients pre op,
phase I and phase II recovery Demonstrating advanced knowledge of
anesthesiology Assessing incision sites, monitoring body
temperature, and tracking indicators of stability or complications
Requirements: 2 years experience as a critical care RN (i.e., ER &
ICU) in a hospital setting may be accepted as a substitute for PACU
nurse experience Valid BLS and ACLS from the American Heart
Association A valid professional license within the state of
practice Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) credential from the
American Heart Association is recommended and may be required for
specific positions Other specialty-related certifications are
preferred and may be required for specific positions (i.e. NIHSS &
