Job Opportunity – Surgical Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse – Hawaii Start Date: February 4, 2026 Location: Hawaii Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants Schedule: Three 12-hour shifts per week; floating to other units may be required; nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5-6 Highlights: 34-bed adult surgical medical-surgical unit specializing in pre- and postoperative care Experience with a variety of surgical procedures including abdominal surgeries (laparoscopic cholecystectomy/appendectomy), mastectomies, thyroidectomies, chest tubes, and drain management Work with standard equipment including vital signs machines, IV and PCA pumps, electronic medical records (EMR/WOWs), and Pyxis medication dispensing systems 13-week travel assignment with structured onboarding process Opportunity to practice in a dynamic surgical environment with diverse case mix Requirements: Active Hawaii State RN license (must be obtained by start date if not currently held) Minimum 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse with strong background in pre/postoperative nursing BLS (Basic Life Support) certification – required ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification – required Proficiency in surgical medical-surgical nursing duties and patient care standards Ability to arrive the Thursday prior to start date for Friday employee health appointment Why It's a Great Opportunity: This position offers the chance to work in a robust surgical unit caring for adult patients through critical pre- and postoperative phases.
