Multi-location applicants are encouraged— apply today and access roles available across the U.S. Job Description: Registered Nurse (RN) – Flex Pool (Days) | Contract Job Type: Contract Position Urgency: Normal Duration: 13 weeks Positions Available: 1 Schedule: Day shift – 12-hour shifts (6:45 AM–7:15 PM) Hours: Scheduled 36 hours per week following the first week of orientation; no guarantee of hours Holiday Coverage: Required Position Overview We are seeking a highly adaptable Flex Pool Registered Nurse (RN) for a contract assignment supporting multiple acute care units. This role requires strong clinical skills, flexibility, and the ability to float across medical and surgical units while delivering high-quality patient care. Key Responsibilities Provide comprehensive nursing care across various medical and surgical units Float between Medical, Surgical Acute, and Step-Down–level units as assigned Perform patient assessments, monitoring, and documentation Administer medications and treatments per provider orders Manage acute care equipment and support patient safety initiatives Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care Units Supported Medical Unit: 77 beds Surgical Acute Unit: 18 beds Cardiovascular Unit: 15 beds (rare floating) Nurse-to-Patient Ratios (may vary based on census and staffing) Medical Unit: 1:6 (days/evenings), 1:8 (nights) Surgical Acute: 1:6 Cardiovascular Unit: 1:4 Equipment & Systems Meditech electronic medical record (EMR) Pyxis medication dispensing system Wound vacs and chest tubes Required Qualifications Minimum 2 years of recent acute care nursing experience (up to 10 years preferred) Active Hawaii RN license required by assignment start Candidates without an active license must apply upon offer acceptance Strong adaptability and ability to work across multiple care settings Proof of required immunizations (medical or religious exemptions not accepted) Certifications BLS/BCLS required ACLS required Preferred certifications: PALS Procedural Sedation TNCC ENPC Dress Code Professional nursing attire (clean scrubs) Orientation & Training Unit-specific orientation provided for each assigned department Only qualified and certified candidates may apply.
