Key Job Details – PACU RN Travel Assignment - Location: Hilo, Hawaii (96720) – Hawaii nursing jobs - Assignment Type: Travel Nursing - Unit: Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) - Duration: 26 weeks (Start: 12/7/2025 – End: 6/7/2026) - Hours per Week: 36 - Shift: Variable shifts (8, 10, or 12 hours; Days, Evenings, Nights, Weekends/Holidays; rotating between ASU and PACU) - On Call: 0-3 times per month (8-hour night and 24-hour weekend/holiday shifts) - Estimated Weekly Salary: $1680–$1800 PACU Registered Nurse Qualifications - Minimum 2 years of experience as a critical care RN (ER or ICU experience may substitute for PACU experience) - Active RN license in the state of Hawaii (or ability to obtain prior to start) - BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association - PALS certification recommended; may be required for specific positions - Additional specialty certifications preferred (NIHSS, TNCC) - Proof of flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exception required prior to contract start PACU RN Responsibilities - Deliver patient care pre-operatively and during Phase I and II recovery in the PACU - Monitor and assess patients post-surgery, including incision sites, body temperature, and signs of stability or complications - Apply advanced knowledge of anesthesiology and critical care nursing - Operate clinical equipment: Meditech, PCA Pumps, Pyxis, Braun IV Pumps, Cryocuff, SCDs, Bair PAWS Warmers, HP and Phillips Monitors - Utilize critical thinking skills to respond quickly to changes in patient condition - Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes Take your nursing career to the next level with this PACU Registered Nurse travel job in Hilo, Hawaii.
