Job Description:
TravelNurseSource is working with Infojini Healthcare to find a
qualified PACU/Pre-Post Op RN in Hilo, Hawaii, 96720! Pay
Information $1,924 per week About The Position ID: 55321221 Shift:
variable - Hours worked per two-week period. No guarantee of hours
or shift preference. Description: Any traveler not currently in
possession of an active State of HI license must apply upon
acceptance of offer. ??Candidate must have Hawaii License by start
of assignment. Proof of flu vaccination or facility approved
application for medical or religious exception will be required
prior to contract start date. Flu vaccination can be administered
during employee health clearance appointment. General Job duties:
Caring of patients pre op, phase I and phase II recovery. PACU
nurses care for patients after surgery and must demonstrate
advanced knowledge of anesthesiology and carrying for patients in
Phase I. Candidates for PACU jobs require critical care skills to
assess incision sites, monitor body temperature, and track other
indicators of stability or complications. Ideal candidates for
post-anesthesia care units have natural abilities to think
critically. Past experience in critical care and surgical nursing
is a plus. Equipment utilized in the unit/dept. Meditech, PCA
Pumps, Pyxis, Braun IV Pumps, Cryocuff, SCD's, Bair PAWS Warmers,
HP Monitors, Phillips Monitors Required skills and minimum years of
experience. 2 years experience as a critical care RN (i.e., ER &
ICU) in a hospital setting may be accepted substitute for PACU
nurse experience. Valid BLS and ACLS from the American Heart
Association A valid professional license within the state of
practice A Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) credential from
the American Heart Association is recommended and may be required
for specific registered nurses and travel nurse positions. Other
specialty-related certifications are preferred and may be required
for specific positions (i.e.NIHSS & TNCC) Shift or schedule
requirements. Shifts vary between 8, 10 and 12 hours and can be
Days, Evenings, Nights and Weekends/Holidays and vary between units
ASU and PACU. No guarantee of hours or shiftpreference. On Call
shift 0-3 times per month (8-hour night and 24-hour
