Also, home to Hilo Medical Center and a variety of other nationally ranked healthcare clinics, the City of Hilo has different roles that can fit what you're looking for in your next role.On Time Talent Solutions is seeking Medical Records Auditors who will be responsible for the review and audit of EMRs indexed by medical records staff for consistency and accuracy, review and audit of auditing team, and reporting results to team and leadership.Medical Records Auditor Responsibilities:

• Organize and file medical records and claim folders per company standards
• Serve as final auditing arbiter regarding the Coding Team
• Work closely with leadership to establish, communicate, and track daily audit results
• Identify training opportunities for internal and external stakeholders related to federal guidelines, best practices, and medical record documentation requirements
• Responsible for clarifying cases and notifies operations partners regarding updates and availability of records
• Provide training, mentoring, and ongoing feedback to medical records clerksMedical Records Auditor Qualifications:
  • Requires BA/BS in Health Sciences, Health Management, or Nursing
  • CPC from accredited source (e.g. American Health Information Management Association, American Academy of Professional Coders or Practice Management Institute) and CPMA (Medical Auditing Certification) from accredited source (e.g. American Health Information Management Association, American Academy of Professional Coders or Practice Management Institute)
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of EMR and HIPAA
  • 5 years' experience in data entry, preferably working with Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
  • Must be able to successfully pass National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) background investigation
  • Excellent computer skills, MS Office (PowerPoint), Tableau
